International Chinese Language Teaching Award for Pedagogical Excellence Invites Nomination

As part of its efforts to explore excellent pedagogy in international Chinese language teaching, exchange multicultural and nationalized experience in Chinese language promotion, arouse the Chinese teachers' enthusiasm, and prepare for the Confucius Institute Conference and the Demonstration Class at the Ninth International Forum on Chinese Teaching in the end of 2008, the Office of Chinese Language Council International (OCLCI hereinafter) has planned to institute the International Chinese Language Teaching Award for Pedagogical Excellencehttp://jiaoxue.hanban.org. III. Materials to be Submitted:
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
A 20-minute-long video is requested plus an introduction in WORD, PPT, PDF, etc. format.
|
|
|
|
Requirement: The video is to demonstrate the pedagogy, resources and auxiliary apparatus involved as well as the concept applied.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Chinese language teachers outside China at all levels including colleges, middle schools, primary schools and Confucius institutes.
|
|
|
|
V. Means of Participation:
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The nomination is to be made through the Internet. The website for the purpose hereof is under construction.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
For better involvement, the entries/nominations are to be evaluated by both the users and experts.
|
|
|
|
Each participant is free to vote for or comment on any entries.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Stage 1 (June 16 – July 16): The website construction is to be completed by July 16. The participants are supposed to register for candidacy.
|
|
|
|
Stage 2 (July 16 – October 16): The demonstration video and relevant materials are to be uploaded or sent to the Teaching Material Office of the OCLCI in DVD or VCD. Stage 3 (October 16 – November 31): Evaluation.
|
|
|
|
Stage 3 (October 16 – November 31): Evaluation.
|
|
|
|
Stage 4 (November 31 – December 31): Announcement of the awards and Exhibition of the awarded entries.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Each of the awarded entries will be rewarded with a credential and some fund for development and publishing.
